Delete your Max Guru account
You can delete your Max Guru account and everything in it at any time, from the app or the website. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.
How to delete your account
In the Max Guru app (iPhone or Android)
- Open Max Guru and sign in.
- Go to the More tab and tap Delete account.
- Enter your password and confirm. Your account is deleted straight away and you are signed out.
On the website
- Sign in at maxguru.co.
- Open More, then Delete account (or go to maxguru.co/account/delete).
- Enter your password and confirm.
Can't sign in?
Email dutsab46@gmail.com with the subject "Delete my Max Guru account" and your username. We check that the request comes from the account owner, delete the account, and reply to confirm, within 30 days.
What is deleted
Deleting your account permanently removes everything stored under it:
- Your profile: name, username, password, phone number, body measurements, goals, profile photo and your link to your coach.
- Workouts, sets, cardio, workout plans and rep-counter sessions.
- Meals, meal plans, meal check-in photos and food scans.
- Weight, steps, sleep and other health data synced from Apple Health or Health Connect.
- Progress photos.
- Chats with your coach, including photos and voice notes.
- Class bookings, memberships, payment records and coupon use in Max Guru.
- Notification tokens and signed-in devices.
- For coaches: your exercise videos, classes, pricing and coupon codes. Your clients are disconnected from you and their own accounts stay. Workout plans you built for them stay in their accounts without your name. Meal plans you built, the meal check-ins clients sent for them and the meals those check-ins logged, clients' bookings of your classes, and your chats with clients are deleted.
What is kept, and for how long
| Server backups | Our database backups are kept for 14 days. A deleted account can remain inside those backups until they expire, and is then gone for good. Uploaded photos and files leave our backups within 7 days. |

| eSewa payments | If you paid with eSewa, eSewa keeps its own record of the transaction under its own policy. Max Guru cannot delete it. |
| AI features | Data used by Max Guru's AI features (photos, messages and training summaries, listed in our privacy policy) is processed by OpenAI. OpenAI may keep it for up to 30 days to monitor abuse (longer only where the law requires) and does not use it to train its models. |
| Technical logs | Our server logs record requests (the time, the page or service asked for, which can include a username or a website search, and the device type), not your account's contents, and are overwritten automatically as new entries are written. |
| Sync service | Leftover copies of your data in our sync service are cleared within a day. |
| Anything else | Nothing. We do not keep a copy of your account's data after deletion. |
Deleting some data without deleting your account
You can delete individual items yourself:
- Workouts and sets: in the app, open History and delete the workout or set.
- Meals: delete a logged meal from the Eat tab in the app, or from the meals page on the website.
- Progress photos: delete them from Photos on the website.
- Chat messages: unsend a message you sent, including a photo or voice note, from its menu in the app's chat, or delete it from the chat on the website. If the other person reported it, our team keeps a copy of its text with the report.
- Health data: turn off Max Guru's access in Apple Health or Health Connect to stop new data; email us to delete what was already synced.
To have any other data deleted, email dutsab46@gmail.com with your username and what you want removed. We reply to confirm within 30 days.
